R955 2WD model is an upgrade of R853 2WD model. The R955 2WD shares many features with the old one. There are two engine types that can be chosen: Kubota V3800 Stage 3B and V3800 Stage IV, both have a power of 115 hp. V3800 Stage IV is a technical evolution of V3800 Stage IIIB and its aim is to comply with the severe European rules about air pollution. With a powerful hydraulic system and a huge lift force, this excavator can work with heavy accessories that need a great hydraulic power. Important to notice is the compact framework, that allows this machine to move through narrow street and along mountain paths.
